Travis Walker McElhenney

Travis Walker McElhenney, 50, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024.  The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. 

Travis was born on May 21, 1973, in Warner Robins, Georgia, to Aurye Jackson McElhenney and the late Sammy McElhenney.  Travis enjoyed raising his chickens, riding Harleys, and racing.  He also loved being outside and fishing.  But above all, he loved his Mama, his children, his grandchildren, and sisters.  His favorite sayings were “Family Over Everything” and “Mama Tried!”

Travis is survived by his children, Ethan McElhenney (Tina), Austin McElhenney (Laura), Morgan Johnson, Megan Johnson, Caitlyn Newbern, and Ava Bostick; his grandchildren, Mason, Noah, Cameron, Lily, Jackson, Denver, and Landon; his mother, Aurye Jackson McElhenney; his sisters, Wende McDowell (Steven) and Tara Hatten (Shelton); several nieces and nephews; his lifelong best friend, Todd Suddeth; and many other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father, Sammy McElhenney; his brother, Jason McElhenney; his nephew, Tyler McElhenny; his niece, Harley McElhenney; and his grandparents, Wade and Juanita Jackson and Ed and Marylou Barnes.
