Alan J. Bullard, 65, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Friday, January 05, 2024, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. Family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to service.
Alan was born in Nashville, Georgia, on November 10, 1958, to the Late Jerry Bert and Helen Bullard. He was a fearless, adventurous soul who never met a stranger. He married his wife of thirty-five years, Mrs. Debra Menchew Bullard, and they were blessed with one son, Jeremy.
Alan loved the camera and his love for filmmaking led him to work on major projects such as: “In the Heat of the Night”, “Fried Green Tomatoes”, “Glory”, college and NFL football broadcasts, a Nike commercial, and many other film productions.
He went to work at Home Depot and Bass Pro Shop where he retired in later years. Alan loved to cook, camp, canoe and being outdoors. He loved his family and they will miss him dearly.
Alan is survived by his wife, Debra Bullard; his son, Jeremy Bullard (Jennifer) of Macon; his sister, Kay Bullard of Atlanta; his sister-in-law, Yvonne Lee (Felton) of Macon; his brother-in-laws, John Doles (Lisa) and Richard Doles (Linda); other family and friends; and his furbabies, “Koda”, “Beau” and “Hope”.
