Barbara Ann Conroy, 79, of Kathleen, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Daughter of the late James Milton Ellis and Dorothy Mae Pankow, Barbara was born on April 24, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois.  She spent her formative years in Chicago and graduated from Mother McAuley High School in 1963. She dedicated 27 years of service to Union Carbide, retiring as a respected warehouse manager.

She was known among friends and family as an avid gamer, delighting in board games, card games, and mastering crossword puzzles. Barbara's laughter often filled the room during evenings spent watching her favorite TV shows, such as "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "The Big Bang Theory," and she never missed an episode of "Jeopardy" or "Wheel of Fortune." Her summers were well-spent in her swimming pool, where many fond family memories were made.

A devout Catholic, Barbara's faith was steadfast and a cornerstone of her life. Her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her children: Clifford Paul Koehler, Jr. of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Jennifer Ann Riojos of Bourbonnais, Illinois; and William Richard Koehler (Valerie) of Kathleen, Georgia; grandchildren: Tyler, Kira, Thomas, David, Rachael, Sarah, Tiffany, Khazei, D’Angelo, Timothy, Emily, and Dana; great-grandchildren: Lana, Caliann, Alaina, Adalyn, Alexia, Adam, Layla, Alyssa, Kemiyah, Autumn, Lazerick, Robert “R.J.,” Issak, Wyatt, Jay, Grace, and Waylon; step-daughter, Dana Conroy of Massachusetts; and stepson, Dan Conroy of Indiana.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Conroy; and daughter, Karren Marie Ponton.
