Barbara "Bobbie" Leslie Hopson

Barbara “Bobbie” Hopson, 87, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Fort Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia, with the Reverend Steve Johnson officiating.

Bobbie retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia after nearly 36 years. This was the longest time on record at that time for their Medical Records Department. She was of Baptist faith and loved her family dearly.

Bobbie is survived by her six grandchildren, Amanda Berisford (Daniel) and their daughters, Caitlin and Lillian Berisford; Daniel Hopson (Angela) and their daughters, Rylee and Avery Hopson; Gregg Hopson (Janeane) and their son, Dustin (and his son, Ronin); Christina Hopson and her daughter, Cortney; Steven Baker and his children, Steve, Jr., Austin, Hailey, Chelsea, Emma and Ella Baker; and Jeremy Hopson (Kasey) and their daughters, Taylor and Maddie Hopson; her brother, Homer Lee Leslie (Jane); niece, Ginger Ragan (Dave); nephew, Michael Leslie; and Daughters-in-Law, Bobbie Hopson, Karen Bailey and Candace Delk. She is preceded in death by her sons, Leslie and Ken Hopson; and her parents, George Leslie and Mozelle Leslie Pool.

The family is deeply grateful to Doris Perkins for her care and special friendship that meant the world to Bobbie. We appreciate her daughter-in-law, Bobbie Hopson, for keeping a close watch, running errands, and providing her with home-cooked meals. We are also very thankful to her healthcare team at Atrium Health Navicent for their communication and care along with the staff at Pine Point Hospice for the opportunity to spend her last days surrounded by those providing such compassionate care and comfort.
