Barry Vernon Driggers

Barry Vernon Driggers, 54, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Sardis Heard Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Hunnicutt officiating. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour before the service.

Barry was born on April 23, 1971, in Fort Stewart, Georgia, to the late Robert Edward Driggers, Sr. and Patricia Ann Todd Driggers. Even though Barry was an avid sports fan, baseball was his favorite game to watch. He loved the Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs, and NASCAR. He loved to visit different ballparks that he had never seen before. Barry loved traveling, especially seeing the country by train.

Barry was a big music fan too. He loved going to concerts where he enjoyed listening to music and being a part of the high energy of the crowd. When he was not watching his favorite team playing or listening to his favorite band, Barry could be found reading, whether it was the sports section of the newspaper or his favorite books. Barry loved his son and his family, and will be missed dearly.

Barry is survived by his son, Jacob Driggers; his brothers, Robert Driggers, Jr. (Dana) and Brent Driggers (Cindy); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Patricia Driggers.
