Charles R. (Bobby) Whited, 85, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
Bobby was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on July 10, 1938, to the Late Agnes Kremer and Robert Whited. Bobby attended Jefferson County Schools in Louisville. He worked as a machine operator for Brown & Williamson in Louisville, Kentucky, until he transferred to the B & W plant in Macon, Georgia, where he retired in 1994, after 37 years. After retirement, he worked part-time at Sizemore Security. Bobby enjoyed dancing and traveling. He was a proud member of Lanier Heights Church, where he served as deacon and sang in the choir.
Bobby is predeceased by his parents, Agnes K. and Robert Whited; sisters, Joann W. Bridges and Doris W. Bainum. He is survived by wife, Jeanelda Brantley Whited of 43 years; sister, Janice Gary of Scottsburg, IN; brother, Eugene Whited, Reno, NV; stepsons, David (Sandy) Spivey, Kenneth (Carla) Spivey and Chan Spivey, all of Macon, GA; his step grandchildren, Leanne Willis of Macon and Brandon Spivey (Ariana) of Wetumpka, Alabama; his step great-grandchildren, Kaylin Nipper and Carter Willis of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home, 6125 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia, with the Reverend Danny Spivey officiating. Family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon Georgia.
