Christine “Chris” Hensley, 75, of Fort Valley, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.  Contributions can be made to “All About Animals” in honor of Ms. Christine “Chris” Hensley. Services will be held at a later date.

Chris was born in San Francisco, California, on May 5, 1949.  She graduated from high school in 1967. Chris met the love of her life, David Lee Hensley, and they moved to Warner Robins, Georgia. They married in 1981 and were married forty-one years until his passing in December of 2022.  Christine and David were blessed with their son, David Hensley II.  She loved being a mother and was always there for her son on field trips and other school activities.  They enjoyed spending time together, especially playing board games. She also loved spending time with her family at Six Flags.

Chris worked at the Houston County Board of Education for over fifteen years.  She loved animals, especially canines, and she loved volunteering at All About Animals. Chris was a life-long Catholic.

She is survived by her son, David Hensley II, of Fort Valley, Georgia; her brother, James “Jimmy” Wilson (Patty) of West Virginia; her sister, Kimberly Dawsey (Kim); and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Lee Hensley; and her sisters, Karen Hensley and Cheryl Stabile.
