Danny Thomas Smallwood, Jr

Danny Thomas Smallwood, Jr., 48, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on January 9, 2021.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 1:00PM, with The Reverend Jim Duggan officiating, at the Barn, Sardis-Heard Funerals and Cremation Center, 6125 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia 31216.  A visitation will be held in the Barn on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 6:30PM – 8:30PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue, Inc., P O Box 2316, Dallas, Ga 30132, https://www.friendstotheforlorn.org/donate/ .

Danny is survived by his father, Danny Thomas Smallwood, Sr., and his mother, Faye Price Smallwood; sister, Jennifer Smallwood; nephews, Connor and Caelan Smith; uncle, Donald Smallwood, Retired Command Sergeant Major; aunt, Dianne Smallwood, and his dog, Rudie; and many cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Velmon “Red” and Eunice Smallwood; and Cleo and Mary Price.

Danny was employed as a manager at Barnes & Noble.  He had many interests including collecting comic books, an avid reader (he loved books), he loved all genres of music, he was a history enthusiast and an advocate for social justice.  Mostly he loved his family and friends.
