David Julian Carr

David J. Carr, 67, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00pm, at Sardis Heard Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. David will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Garden in a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to an animal charity of your choice.

David was born on March 10, 1959, in Macon, Georgia, to Arthur Eugene and Julia Elizabeth Bennett Carr. He was very devoted to his family and took care of his parents for most of his life.

David was a humble and quiet man, and he will be missed greatly. He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Johnson (Gary) of Byron, Jenny Sommerville of Marietta, and Danny Carr of Gray; his nieces and nephews, Katryn Skipp (Jonathan), Gary H. Johnson, Jr., Britt Sommervile, M.D., Jamie Leigh Sommerville, and Deana Pepple (Merlin). He is preceded in death by his parents.
