David Lee Hensley

David Lee Hensley, 74, of Fort Valley, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. This will be a time of visitation for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any Middle Georgia Animal Shelters in honor of Mr. David Hensley.

Mr. David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Walter Toll Hensley and Juanita Hylton Hensley. He was a big Cincinnati Reds fan. He was also a glass installer in the Middle Georgia area. David was a lifelong John Wayne fan who passed away with a John Wayne movie playing in the background.

Mr. David is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Christine Hensley; his son, David Hensley II; his granddog, Perra; and his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Hensley, Jack Hensley, Ken Hensley, and Margie Gibson.
