Donna Posey Mccarey

Donna Posey McCarey, 74, of Eatonton, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2025.  She was born on August 12, 1950, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Robert Earl and Frances Posey.  Donna would light up any room she walked in.  Her smile and laughter were contagious. She also had a loving, kind, compassionate heart.  This led her to pursue her calling as a registered nurse.  She took care of her patients as if they were her own.  Her compassion extended to her family and friends.  After retiring, Donna devoted more of her time to her bible studies and her grandchildren. She found joy in doing things with her grandbabies, especially making Rice Krispy treats.  Donna loved her family dearly and she will be missed.

Donna is survived by her children, Rachel Gordon, Adam McCarey, and Amy Cantrell; her husband, David McCarey; her grandchildren, Tyler Cantrell, Zachary Cantrell, Alexis Lanier, Lane Lanier, Sean McCarey, and Aaron McCarey; and her precious fur babies, “Gracie” and “Idgett”.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Bible Fellowship Church, 190 Old Phoenix Road NE, Eatonton, Georgia, 31024.
