Douglas Wayne Gant

Douglas Wayne Gant, Sr., 73, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022.

Doug was known as a great athlete and played high school football.  One of his favorite teams was the Old Miss Rebels. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, joining when he was seventeen.

One of the highlights of his life was attending Woodstook, but the greatest highlight was meeting Mary Cosby in 1977, in Goliad, Texas.  They married in 1978, and were blessed with two sons, Doug, Jr. and Aaron Gant.  They moved to Macon in 1986, where he began his tree service business.

Doug is survived by his wife, Mary Gant, of forty-four years; his son, Doug, Jr. He is predeceased in death by his parents, James and Doris Gant, and his son, Aaron Gant.
