Emmanull E. Thorpe, 50, of Macon, GA unexpectedly passed away Saturday, June 22nd, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on the morning of Friday, July 12th, 2024, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to service. The actual burial will be held at GA Veterans Cemetery, located in Milledgeville, GA
Emmanull was born March 2nd, 1974, to Mrs. Mary “Betty” Thorpe and the late Marshall Thorpe from Brunswick, GA. In 1997 he decided to join the United States Army, in which time he was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forced Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, and the NATO Medal. His time in the U.S. Army ended in October 2000, but he continued to serve his country working for the Department of Defense and Robins Air Force Base was his last duty station where he departed in 2012. Emmanull then decided to change careers and help people in a different way by becoming a Life Insurance Agent with Globe Life Liberty National Division. He then retired as a Regional Agency Director in 2021.
Being profoundly deaf didn’t stop him from fulfilling some of his dreams. Soon after retiring, he had started many, many hobbies such as wood burning, gas and electric powered Remote-Control Cars, vintage video games, 3-D printing, a little bit of airbrushing, and the newest found hobbies was plants such as Bonsai Trees, succulents and Cacti all starting from a seedling. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dog Gucci, his children, grandchildren, mother, brother and friends. He is survived by his wife Nicole Thorpe, his daughter Madeleine and his two sons Francisco and Emanuel Thorpe, his mother Mary “Betty” Thorpe, his brothers Ronnie and Danny Thorpe. He is preceded by his father Marshall Thorpe, and his brothers Marshall Thorpe Jr. and Eric Thorpe.
