Fred Brinkley II

Fred Brinkley II, 65, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Fellowship Church, 4967 Sandy Point Road, in Lizella, Georgia. The Reverends Bobby Hamlin and Ricky Tidwell will be officiating. The visitation will be held one hour before the service.

Fred was born on September 29, 1960, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Jack T. and Lois Kite Brinkley. He was a 1984 graduate of the University of Georgia, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science. Fred worked 25 years at Boeing and then began working at S & K Technology. He loved fishing and watching his favorite teams play. He was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan.

Fred was a kind-hearted and humble person and always saw the good in people. He attended Fellowship Church in Lizella, where he and his wife, Patricia, served the Lord and strengthened their faith. Fred had so much love for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was affectionately known as “Papa” to them. Fred will be greatly missed.

Fred is survived by his wife, Patricia Brinkley; his children, Cheney Daniel (Evan) of Atlanta, and Julia King of Macon; his grandchildren, Amelia, Brielle, Saylor, Wren, Bryce, and one on the way; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his precious furbaby, Spice, who was his heart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Christopher Brinkley and Blane Lazaurs; his brother, Jack T. Brinkley, Jr.; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bennie and Katherine Powell.
