Gary H. Sawyer

Gary H. Sawyer, 76, of Macon Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Open Bible Church, 6490 Sandy Point Road Lizella, Georgia.  Family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to service.

Gary was born in Macon Georgia, on March 22, 1947, to the Late Howard Earl Sawyer and Bessie Buford Sawyer.  Gary retired from Georgia Power. He was a member of Open Bible Church in Lizella, Georgia. He loved spending time with his family and friends, he loved to travel especially out west, he had a passion for motorcycles and cars, and he enjoyed being outdoors.

Gary is survived by his wife, Barbara Sawyer; his children  Grant Sawyer (Priscilla), Cindy Fell (Jason), Samuel Sawyer (McKay), Birch Sawyer, Grant Moore (Ashley) and Corey Moore, his grandchildren Dylan Homans, Cole Homans, Kaiden Sawyer, Elaine Sawyer, Dr Kaylin Stewart, Austin Moore (Holly) Justin Moore, Reeves Thomson, Ashton Moore, Aiden Moore, Avery Moore and his great grandchildren Adelynn Moore and Austin Hayes Moore, his sisters Lynda Holliday, Teresa Grimsley (Grady), Connie Mcdougald and Bonnie Hunnicutt and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews as well as his lifelong best friend Larry Martin.
