Janie Norris Miller

Janie Norris Miller, 89, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, at her home. Graveside services will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Jeff Powell officiating.  The family will visit with family and friends following the graveside services at 108 J Drive South, Macon, GA 31216.

Janie was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on February 2, 1935. She loved her family, caregivers, friends, and most importantly, God. She enjoyed sitting on her screened-in porch, looking at the beautiful flowers, reading her Bible, and watching hummingbirds.

Janie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Wilson Miller; parents, James and Ruby Mae Norris; and sisters, Sarah Neidinger and Martha Johnson.

Janie is survived by her daughters, Cindy Powell (Johnnie) and Angie Gibbons (Tom); granddaughters, Madison and Sarah Kathryn Stokes; and brother, Jimmy Norris.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Safe Harbor Church, 7065 Mosely Dixon Road, Macon, GA 31220, or to your favorite charitable organization.

The family personally wants to thank Cassandra Hollings and Gwen Flagg for the wonderful care they provided. She loved them dearly! Also, a special thank you to Veronica Diaz for making her day by keeping her home so beautiful and perfect.
