Janis Sue Lowe

Janis Sue Lowe, 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Janis was born in Macon on August 13, 1947, to the late James Franklin Bennett, Sr. and Martha Irene McCallum Bennett. She was a graduate of McEvoy High School, Class of 1965.

Janis proudly served her country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. She worked as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service for 13 years.

Janis was a kind-hearted woman who had a special love for animals. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Janis will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, James F. Bennett Jr. of Roberta, Georgia and David C. Bennett (Debra) of Lizella, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Garner Lowe; and sister, Joyce Ann Duncan.
