Jeanelda Brantley Whited, 91, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, from complications due to Alzheimers. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at Sardis Heard Funeral Home, with Reverend Danny Spivey officiating. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia.
Jeanelda was born on June 19, 1934, in Soperton, Georgia, to Louise Faulk and John L. Brantley. She was a 1952 Treutlen County High School graduate and worked as a receptionist/switchboard operator at Inland Container Company in Macon and at Youman’s (Dunlap) Chevrolet for 35 years upon retirement. Jeanelda enjoyed reading the newspaper from front to back, traveling, cooking, fishing, and being with family and friends. She was also a proud member and Sunday School teacher of Lanier Heights Baptist Church.
Jeanelda is predeceased by her parents, Louise and John Brantley; her brother, Lamon Brantley; her husband, Charles R. “Bobby” Whited; and her son, Chan Spivey. She is survived by her sons, David Spivey (Sandy) and Kenneth Spivey (Carla); her grandchildren, Leanne Willis of Macon and Brandon Spivey (Ariana) of Eclectic, Alabama; great –grandchildren, Kaylin Nipper and Carter Willis of Macon; and Rebekah Spivey of Eclectic; her brother, Paul Brantley (Regina) of Kingland, Georgia; her sisters, Alvena Ford (Floyd) of Ocala, Florida, and June Fisher of Statesboro, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
