John grew up in Warner Robins and served as a Private in the United States Army during 2021-2023, until he was Honorably Discharged. John served at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, in the 539th Transport Division, as an 88m LHS truck driver.
John is preceded in death by his grandfather, Stanley Henry; grandfather, Phillip Amerson; grandmother, Tina Amerson; and brother, David Carmack Henry. John is survived by his father, David W Henry (Angie); mother, Tonya Peacock (Chad); Grandparents, Rodger and Beverly Sexton; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. John enjoyed spending time working on and customizing his 4Runner, and fishing. John left us unexpectedly and too soon at such a young age. He will be greatly missed and leaves behind hollowed hearts.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. A visitation will be held immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Wounded Warriors Project, in honor of John Paul Henry.
