Joyce Anne Grantham Dugan

January 7, 1957 — April 18, 2023

Kathleen, Georgia

Joyce Anne Grantham Dugan, 66, of Kathleen, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023.

Joyce was an out-going, beautiful soul, a beloved daughter/sister/aunt, and an all-around spitfire.  Joyce never met a stranger.  She was born in Topeka, Kansas, on January 7, 1957, to the late James Nathan Grantham Sr. and Sandra Kay Hawver Grantham.  She grew up in Panama City Beach, Florida where she enjoyed her time with her family.  She was an avid tennis player in her high school years.  While her family was stationed in Europe, Joyce ranked 5th in the country playing tennis.  While still in her teens, her family moved to Georgia where Joyce graduated from Northside High School in 1976.

Joyce married the love of her life, Stephen Dugan, in 1993.  Together they enjoyed life, traveled, and raised golden retrievers for many years.  Besides her family, the Georgia Bulldogs were dear to her heart.  She would not miss watching a game and was grateful to see them win the most recent Championships. Many people know her voice, all over the country they would tune in to listen to her interviews on various Georgia Bulldog podcasts.  Her Bulldog following on Facebook was huge and she stayed in close contact with her friends.  Joyce will truly be missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Stephen Dugan; her sisters, Pati Gail Crumley (late Robert) and Kathryn “Sam” Robbins (Darrell); her brother, James “Skip” Nathan Grantham Jr. (Jennifer); her mother-in-law, Pat Dugan Smith; her brothers-in-law, Michael Dugan, Joseph Dugan (Camile), and Jimmy Dugan; her sister-in-law, Patricia Dugan; as well as her many nieces and nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her parents James and Sandra; her brother, Tracy Hawver Grantham; her Grandmother Mamie and Papa Coy; and her Uncle Jimmy and Mary Ann Wilson.
