Justin Daniel Snelgrove

Justin Daniel Snelgrove, aged 37, beloved son, brother, grandson, and nephew, gained his angel wings on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and is now toddling around barefoot in the kitchen of Jesus. Justin is survived by his parents, Cherie Wacter Brooks and Michael Brooks of Macon, Jeffery Snelgrove (Ruth) of Lizella; brothers, Jason Snelgrove (Shanna), David Snelgrove, and Tyler Brooks of Macon; Grandparents, David and Shirley Wacter of Lizella; niece, Carley Burnam (Christian) of Lizella; nephews, Jace Quilty and Jaxon Snelgrove of Macon; nephew, Sailor Burnam of Abbyville; Aunts, Theresa Wacter Yancey of Macon (Burch), Amanda Wacter Murray (Mark) of Alamo; Uncle Glen Wacter of Lizella; and many loving cousins. Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James and Evelyn Snelgrove, and Grandmother Leona Brooks.

Justin was born in Macon, Georgia, on April 15, 1988. The gift of his life has since been lived in service to his family as the very, very best reminder of all that is goodness and light in this world. His loving heart, endearing hugs, and innocent smile will be missed by his family more than words could ever convey. Justin loved his brothers, nephews and dogs, often following them around the house just to be near them. He did not, however, enjoy shoes, nor socks, and more often than not would remove them as soon as he could. Food was one of Justins favorite enjoyments in life, and it was more usual than not to find him toddling around in the kitchen where the action was. He took great joy in turning over kitchen chairs on the regular, which his family members patiently sat back upright for him to push over again, and opening and shutting cabinet doors until the hinges were worn. Justins affectionate nature was known and loved by everyone, and there was nothing like having his small hands on your cheeks as he moved your head around, all the while grinning his huge, sweet grin. Though he could not speak with words, that smile of his said it all. The loss of Justins presence will be grieved by his entire family, but his smile will surely light up the heavens from now until forever. The family will have a private viewing. A short memorial service celebrating Justin’s life will be held at the home of David and Shirley Wacter, 464 Carl Sutton Road, Lizella, GA 31052 on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11 AM, followed by a potluck lunch.
