Lisa Lynn Harrison

May 5, 1969 — July 24, 2025

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Lisa Lynn Harrison, 56, of Byron, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home, with Reverend Grover Jewell officiating.

Lisa Lynn was born on May 5, 1969, in Macon, Georgia. She went to school in Louisiana where she excelled in extracurricular activities such as playing basketball and cheerleading. Lisa Lynn relocated to Macon in her senior year and graduated from Southwest High School in 1986. She went to nursing school in Pennsylvania where she obtained her LPN license. During this time, she worked in nursing homes and with pediatric patients, but she found her true passion working with animals as a groomer. Lisa Lynn was a true animal lover and advocate for any animal in need that came into her life.

Lisa Lynn was a dedicated friend and if you had the privilege of knowing her, you knew you had a friend for life. To know her was to love her. She loved her furbabies, anything to do with nature, professing her love for Christ, and being “Nina” to her grandbaby, Avery Jane.

Lisa Lynn is survived by her children, Clay Harrison (Taylor), Nikki Shellong, and Hannah Holt; her grandchild, Avery Jane Harrison; her parents, Linda Hutcheson and John Russell Horne; her brother, John “Rusty” Williford; her two sisters, Leslie Williford Yaughn (Brent), and Debbie Wallace (Mike); and her precious furbabies. She is preceded in death by her step-dad, Freddy Hutcheson.

Contributions can be made in the form of flowers to honor Lisa Lynn’s life.
