Evelyn Tittle

Mary Evelyn Pennington Tittle, 95, of Warner Robins passed away at Pine Pointe Hospice in the early hours of Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Her family will host a reception at Sardis Heard Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, with a formal service to begin at 2:00 PM.

Evelyn was born in Fordyce, Arkansas on October 4, 1931, to the late Harry Allen and Stell Shrum Pennington. She loved to paint and was an extremely talented artist. She worked mostly with watercolor and oils but never turned her hobby into a career. Evelyn also enjoyed decorating, gardening, and traveling. Over the years, she and her husband have lived in a number of Georgia cities, including McDonough, Jonesboro, Dalton, and Centerville. She was a former member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church and participated in their ministry and visited Honduras to serve mission trips. Evelyn enjoyed helping others, whether it was volunteering in the church nursery or caring for children who were in foster care by taking them into her own home.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, John Stell. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Phillip L. Tittle of Warner Robins; daughter, Debbie Long (Dennis) of Senoia; sons, Mike Orr (Debbie) of Senoia, Kenny Orr (Vaviel) of Steinhatchee, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly Campbell, Kevin Orr, Ryan Orr, Brandon Orr, Stephanie Autry, Jeremy Long, and Jacob Long; and fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Amanda Barry (Jim) of West Monroe, Louisiana and her stepson, Phil Tittle (Jeanne).
