Michael Snellgrove

Michael Snellgrove, 50, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.  Family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will be held following the visitation at Bethel Baptist Church, 7495 Knoxville Road, Lizella, Georgia at 11:30 AM.  The family has requested that family and friends wear any comic book attire to commemorate the life of Michael.  There will be a time of fellowship after the service. Michael absolutely loved comic books and characters.  When he was younger, he thought he was Spiderman. He was known as a “jack of all trades”’ and a good handyman.  He owned his own carpentry and repair shop called Snellgrove Repair.  He also loved deep sea fishing.  Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren, and spending time with his family.  He will be missed greatly. He is survived by his wife, Martha Snellgrove; his children, Hannah Carter (Tyler), Mary Snellgrove, and Michael “Peanut” Snellgrove, Jr.; his grandchildren, Chelsea Taylor, Colson Taylor, Sophia Grace Kitchens, and Phoenyx Carter; his father, George Snellgrove; his brother, Joseph Snellgrove; his sister, Dana Snellgrove; and many nieces and nephews and family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Walker Snellgrove.
