Nelle Ezelle Ayers

Nelle Ezelle Ayers, 74, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home, with the Reverend Joe Williams officiating.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to service for visitation.  Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Children’s Methodist Home in honor of Ms. Nelle Ezelle Ayers.

Ms. Nelle was raised at the Georgia Methodist for Children and Youth.  She attended Crandall Business College and worked as an administrative assistant for Star Choices, ARC, and The Georgia Industrial Children’s Home.

Ms. Nelle is known for her love for her family.  She was a devoted wife of forty-six years to the love of her life, Jimmy Ayers.  She took pride in supporting him; and together, they raised three wonderful sons.  She and her husband were faithful members of Parkway Assembly of God, where they fellowshipped until their health would not allow them to go anymore.

Ms. Nelle is survived by her sons, Stuart (Joanie) Ayers of Warner Robins, Jason (Missie) Ayers, of Centerville, and Chan (Miranda) Ayers of Macon; her beloved grandchildren, Taylor Ingram (Norman), Garrett Ayers (Nicolette), Madison Ayers, Reagan Ayers, Jacob Ayers, Mollee Ayers, and Malia Ayers; her sisters Patsy Sellers of Toomsboro, and Mavis James (J.W.) of Macon; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James P. Ayers; her parents, Thomas Dawson and Belle Ezelle; her siblings, James David "Bud" Ezelle, Andrew "Tank" Ezelle, Bobby Jene Ezelle, W. R. "Doc" Ezelle, Richard Russell Ezelle, Mildred Hamilton, Gladys Hardie, and Mary Sue Foster Whietman; and her nephew, Tommy DeBose.
