Onetta Long Myers

Onetta Long Myers, 75, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Born in Paintsville, Kentucky, to the late Dencil Long and Hazel Blanton Long. Raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Onetta attended Fairdale High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She later married her husband L.D. Myers and moved to Bullit County, Kentucky, until moving to Macon, Georgia in 1979. Onetta was a Homemaker and Mother. She Loved her family, especially her three boys. She was a big Elvis Presley fan. She loved traveling, and loved the Kentucky Wildcats. Onetta had a caring heart and loved taking care of others. She was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dencil and Hazel Long and her husband Lindsey David Myers.

She is survived by her sons, Eric Myers of Macon, Georgia, Dennis Myers of Macon, Georgia, and Stephen Staines, of Thousand Oaks, California; sister, Opal Long Albright, of Lizella, Georgia; nephews, Gerald Albright, of Lizella, Georgia, Doug Albright, of Lizella, Georgia; niece, Lana Albright Butler (Buddy), of Macon, Georgia; granddaughter, Kyna; her Longtime best friend, Sharon Saul, of Kentucky; and her daughters who called Onetta “Momma 2”, Dana James Harley, Kim James, and Teresa James-Glasscock.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at 7220 Columbus Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052.
