Pastor Talmadge "Sonny" Stovall

Pastor Talmadge Sonny Stovall, 72, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2022, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home, with Reverend Butch Mullis officiating.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to services for visitation.  Burial will follow the service at Journey Baptist Church, 5660 Columbus Road, Macon, Georgia 31206.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Journey Baptist Church in honor of Pastor Talmadge Sonny Stovall.

Pastor Stovall began his life in Fitzgerald, Georgia, on June 27, 1950.  He moved to Macon when he was sixteen years old.  He then began his work career with lawn service care and opened two convenience stores.  He married Brenda Carden in 1980. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart.  His number one goal was to lead everyone to Christ.

He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Brenda Stovall; two sons, Jody Bellizia of Lizella, Ashley Stovall (Erica) & their children, Jacob and Mario, of Centerville; his grandchildren, Julian Stovall, Kelsey Edwards (Brandon), Zack Lyles (Rachael) of Byron, and Haleigh Lyles of Macon; his daughter, Belinda Stovall (Chris) of Macon; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased in death by his parents, Romie Moon and Shep Stovall and two sisters and one brother.
