Rodney Eugene Taylor

Rodney Eugene Taylor, 54, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The family requests that funeral attendees please wear a mask at the service.

Rodney was a family man who loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He was a hard-working millwright, who would quickly tell you he was not a welder. Rodney had a gypsy soul and always had an open door at his home, everyone was welcome.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kat Taylor; father, Ronnie Taylor (Bonnie); daughters, Michelle Gregory, Cristan Peterman, Jessica Pegg-Taylor (J.P.), Harley Hayes (Alex), and Tiffany Taylor; grandchildren, Bailey, Phoenix, Aydan, Wyatt, Asa, Colton, Jaxson, Elizabeth, Graylee, Taylor, Thomas, Payton, and Sissy; siblings, Eddie Taylor (Gladys), Hope Ragan (Ken), Jim Buck Taylor (Tabby), Dianne Taylor, and Jerry Taylor (Karry); step-brother, Kevin Bobo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Bobo; son-in-law, J.P. Pegg; and grandson, Nicolas Spears.
