Timothy "Tim" Patrick Vick

Timothy “Tim” Patrick Vick, 70, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024. Tim was born in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Melvin and Margaret Vick. He was of the Christian faith and was a devoted and loving husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Tim served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1993, and after 21 years in the Air Force, he retired to pursue other adventures.  He graduated from Macon State College and Georgia College and State University. At Macon State College, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and at Georgia College and State University, he earned a Master’s Degree in Education.  He realized a dream when he was named a professor of Business and Information Technology at Gordon State College. Tim was a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) of Macon, American Legion Riders Post 3, and a volunteer for Hospice of Macon.

Tim is survived by his wife, Lynn Weaver McCraney of Macon; his stepdaughter Sawyer McCraney of Macon; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Kelly Weaver of Atlanta and their son Daniel; his brother-in-law, Chris Weaver of Byron; and his nephews, Nick, Ben and Will; his dog Sadie; and a lifetime of friends.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6th at 3:00p.m. at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home at 6125 Houston Road, Macon, GA  31216.
