Vonda Kay Bailey

Vonda Kay Bailey, 56, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022.  A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia.  Reverends Brad Marchman and Phil Skelton will be officiating.  Funeral attendees are required to wear masks per family.

Vonda loved her job as a beautician. She had a special love and bond for each of her clients and they, in return, loved her.  She also loved the Atlanta Braves and Florida Gators.  But above all, she loved her precious grandchildren.

Vonda is survived by her husband Samuel Allen Bailey of Macon; her daughter, Allana Bailey Spofford (Kyle); her parents, Sonja Kay Biggers McLendon and James Albert McLendon; her grandchildren, Kyler Jo Spofford and Harlow “Harry” Spofford; her beloved pets Miley and Barbie; her mother-in-law, Ann Bailey; sisters-in-law, Carol Cantrell (Jack) and Diane Canady; her best friend, Tammy Jones; her brother Nathan McLendon (Lisa); her uncle, Keith Robinson (Shirley); and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jordan Herndon, her grandparents, Doris Robinson, and Marion Robinson, and her father-in-law, Sam Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or to Northside Hospital Cancer Center in honor of Vonda Kay Bailey.
