Welcome Glenda Brown

Welcome Glenda Brown, 77, of Fort Valley, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home with Reverend Jeramie Collins officiating. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Burial will be held after services at Glen Haven Memorial Garden.

Glenda was born on January 23, 1947, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Lawrence and Enid Smallwood DeFore.  She married the love of her life, Abner Lee Brown, Jr. and was a wonderful homemaker.  She loved to buy and sell at flea markets, working in the yard, and gardening.  She also loved a good game of Bingo.  Above all, she loved her family and all her great, beautiful grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

Glenda is survived by her two daughters, Cherrie Waters of Byron, Georgia, and Dianne Klingler of Fort Valley, Georgia; her grandchildren, Michael “Pooky” Klingler (Abbie), Jennifer Herring (Jessie), Amber Encinas, and Harley Stokes; her great-grandchildren, Dillian Thomas, Ansleigh Thomas, Tray Pelt, Gracie Barrandey, Cade Barrandey, Raleigh Stillwell, Emma Klingler, Lyla Klingler, and Theo Klingler; her great-great-grandchildren, Keelan Allen and Oaklan Thomas; and her sister-in-law, Betty Brown.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of sixty years, Abner Brown.
