Wendy Barroso

Wendy Barroso, 58, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia, 31201, with Father Emmanuel Antwi officiating.  The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday evening, April 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the service on Wednesday at the Glen Haven Mausoleum, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia, 31216.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Donate Life America, https://donatelife.net, in honor of Mrs. Wendy Barroso.

Mrs. Wendy was born to Mr. Homer and Mrs. Sadie Bledsoe in 1964. She was raised in Macon, Georgia. She graduated from Central High School. She married Joseph Barroso on September 15, 1984. With Joseph she raised her 4 boys that all graduated from Mount de Sales Academy and became Eagle Scouts. She spent ten years as a para-professional at St. Joseph’s Catholic School. She loved having parties with her family and spending time with her mother and her boys. She loved being at the beach and floating in a lazy river. She was a recipient of a liver transplant in 2013 and was gifted with an extra 10 years of life thanks to her donor liver.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph B. Barroso; her sons Adam Barroso (Amber Killingsworth), Chris Barroso, Daniel Barroso (Christa Weaver) and Andy Barroso (Casey Jones); her sisters Sandra Johnson and Paula Martin (Rocky Martin); her brother Sydney Bledsoe; and her mother Sadie Bledsoe.
