Abner is the son of the late Abner Lee Brown, Sr., and Geneva Brown. He was born on October 17, 1945, in Macon, Georgia. He married the love of his life, Glenda Brown, and there was not anything he wouldn’t do for her. He was the best father that any daughter could ever ask for. He was also the greatest grandfather, and his grandchildren always knew they could call on him for anything.
Abner was a courageous man who taught his family the importance of discipline and hard work. He worked at Ryder Logistics and retired from there after working thirty years. He also worked at Penske and retired from there as well. He enjoyed taking family vacations, deep-sea fishing, watching Nascar, and going to yard sales.
Abner is survived by his wife of sixty years, Glenda Brown; his two daughters, Cherrie Waters (Steve) of Byron, Georgia, and Dianne Klingler of Fort Valley, Georgia; his grandchildren, Michael “Pooky” Klingler (Abbie), Jennifer Herring (Jessie), Amber Encias (Jimmy), and Harley Stokes; his great-grandchildren, Dillian Thomas, Ansleigh Thomas, Tray Pelt, Gracie Barrandey, Cade Barrandey, Raleigh Stillwell, Emma Klingler, Lyla Klingler, and Theo Klingler; and his expected great-great-grandson, Keelan; his sisters, Barbara Harper and Betty Brown of Macon; and his brother, Michael Brown (Patricia) of Macon. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Reubin David Brown; and his sister, Mary Brown.
