Acquilla Reynolds

Acquilla Reynolds, 89, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022.  Funeral services will held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Sardis Heard Funeral Home.  Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service for visitation. Burial will be at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany, Georgia, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:30 AM. 

Acquilla is survived by her children, Steve Reynolds (Carolyn) of Macon, LaDonna Barrier (Ralph) of Concord, North Carolina, and Linda Reynolds of Macon; three grandchildren, Steve Reynolds. Jr., (Misty), Lindsey Reynolds and Nathan Barrier; great grandchildren, Kevin Riggins, Savannah Reynolds, Willow Reynolds, and Hunter Reynolds; her brother, Truitt Wingate; many precious nieces and nephews, family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Raye Reynolds; her parents, Noah Clayton and Beaulah Mae Fowler Wingate; and her sister-in-law, Danny Hancock Wingate.   

Acquilla was a longtime active member of Mikado Baptist Church and worked many years in the church nursery.  She assisted with the Awana Children’s Club and was an active member of the Glowing Years Seniors Group.  She was also a member of the TOPS Club.  She loved to bake and was well known for her fabulous caramel cake.
