B.L. Clark Jr.

B.L. Clark, 87, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends for a time of visitation at Sardis Heard Funeral, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.  The family is accepting flowers, but you may contribute to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in honor of B.L. Clark.

B.L. was born in 1936, in Griffin, Georgia, to the Late Bennett Lee Clark Sr., and Nora Hill Clark. Even at an early age, he had a love for baseball.  B.L. was District Administrator of Georgia District 5, where his district won the Little League World Series in 2007, followed by the Little League Girls winning the Softball World Series.  He also was Little League President at Bloomfield Little League where he built the first baseball field for handicapped children.  B.L. was a big Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons Fan.  He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Marcia Clark; his sons, Craig Clark (Shelley) and David Clark (Christy); his son-in-law, Stephen Bloodworth; his grandchildren, Lindsey Clark and Cody Clark.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Julie Anna Bloodworth; his sister, Connie Godwin; and his brother, Clyde Woodcock.
