Betty Payne Obituary

Betty Jane Raymer Heyn Payne peacefully passed away at her home on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the age of 74, surrounded by her children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Saloma and Herman (Monk) Raymer; 3 sisters; 1 brother; husband, Larry A. Payne; and first husband, David L. Heyn.

She is survived by her children, Matthew Robert Heyn and Rebecca Lynn Heyn Harris (Dan); 3 grandchildren, David Lynn Jones, Christine Frazier, and Amberlynn Jane Heath; 2 great-grandchildren, Austin Tyler Frazier, and Leonard Scott Daniel (Leo) III; along with several nieces and nephews.

Betty was a member of Cathedral of Christ Church and a retired employee of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation after 36 years of service.  She was originally from Louisville, Kentucky, relocating to Macon, Georgia, to complete her employment.  Betty brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met.  She had a loving heart for her pets and animals.  She will be greatly missed by her friends and relatives.  Betty’s wishes were to be cremated.  There will be no visitation or services at this time.
