Bonita Day, 64, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on July 20 2021.
Bonita was born January 16, 1957, to Lewis (Dock) and Gwendolyn Spillers of Macon, Georgia. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1975 and held a career at Geico until her retirement in the early 1990s. In 1983 Bonita married the love of her life, John Day, and they share two beautiful children, Tasha and Lewis. Bonita was a faithful member of Stone Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband John Day, son Lewis Day, daughter Tasha Allmon (Scott), Mother Gwendolyn Spillers, sister Darnell Jerkins (Gary), twin sister Anita Gentry (Frankie), brother in-law Charles Day, five grandchildren, Mariah (Kane) Robinson, Miranda Allmon, Maleah Allmon, Mikinley Allmon, Lennox Day; one great-grandchild, Kayden Robinson; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Lewis Spillers.

Visitation will be held at Sardis-Heard Funeral Center on Wednesday, July 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The service will be held at Sardis-Heard on Thursday, July 22 at 11:00 am followed by burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Brother Paul Whitton is officiating the service.
