Christine Elizabeth Sullivan Oberlies

Christine Elizabeth Sullivan Oberlies was born August 31, 1933, in Liberty, Mississippi, to Clinton Truly and Lucille Laird Sullivan.

She was retired, having worked for grocery store chains IGA, A&P, and Jitney Jungle. In her later years she was a caregiver.  

Funeral services for Ms. Oberlies will be at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Sardis Heard Funeral Home. Family will greet friends an hour prior to service.  Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the service.   

Preceding her death were her parents, Clinton Truly Sullivan and Lucille Laird Sullivan; her husband Fritz J. Oberlies, sister Betty King, brother Daniel Sullivan, brother-in-law Allen Jones, sister-in-law Phyllis Sullivan, son-in-law Jerry Stone, and two great-grandsons Jeffrey and Jessie Powell.

Survivors are her children Shirley Stone, Marilyn Powell (Jeff), and Gail Thomas,  Her brothers and sisters William "Pete" Sullivan (Eloise), Billy Wayne Sullivan (Carolyn), Paul Sullivan, Cora Annette Jones, Emma Sue Tarver, and Sarah Alice Arnold (Roger), all of Mississippi. Her grandchildren William Robinson (Mindy), Meghan Reeves, Marshall Glass (Meghan), Donna Stone, Rebecca Keene (Sean), Robert Glass (Kara), Bethany Collins (Coty), and Jeffrey Powell (Kaycee). Great-grandchildren Jacob, Aiden, Hagen, Riley, Maliah, Peyton, C.J., Kaden, Mallorie, Hannen, Elizabeth, Hadley, Archer, Bella, Henley, and Willow.

Pallbearers are Ken Lemar, William Robinson, Sean Keene, Robert Glass, Coty Collins, and Jeffrey Powell.
