Connie Frances Moorman

Connie Frances ( Morrison )Moorman November 25, 1940 - October 2, 2021 Connie took her heavenly flight on Saturday, October 2, 2021 surrounded by her family whom she dearly loved. She was 80 years old. She was the daughter of the late Minnie Adelaide Tyler & James Carnie ( JC ) Morrison of Jones County, GA. She was preceded in death by her sister Sylvia ( Syb ) Pry.

Connie was married to the love of her life Jack “Wayne” Moorman for 28 years. They lived a life full of camping and travel right up to their later years. She was the best cook and hostess and you never left her house hungry! She taught her girls and grandchildren what unconditional Love was! Most importantly she taught them to love Jesus!

Along with Wayne, she is survived by her daughters Theresa Cantrell ( Randy), Tina Hodges, Genine Tucker ( Mike ), Step-Daughters Christy Moorman and Lea Moorman. She was Grandma to five grandchildren: Gabe Stewart ( Allison), Christy Purvis ( Ryan), Brittany Almand ( Coleman ), Crystal Vaughn ( Matt ), Brandon Tucker, and her God-son Dr. Tony Farmer ( Wendy) . She was Great Grandma to five great grandchildren: Kyndell Stewart, Carson Vaughn, Isla Stewart, Wade Vaughn and Owen Purvis. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Great Grand number six, Jackson Purvis. She is also survived by two sisters Sandra Daniels & Bobbie Hutto ( James ) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church for many years. She also served as Church Hostess for Family Night suppers at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bolingbroke.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends from 5:00-5:30 p.m., and then again following the service until 7:00 p.m..
