Diane Walker Langford

Diane Walker Langford, 70, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.

Daughter of the late Jesse Walker and Eva Chapman Walker, Diane was born on July 20, 1953, in Macon.  She had a deep love for animals, particularly her cherished pet guinea pigs. Her artistic flair was visible in the beautiful holiday decorations she loved to arrange, her home always a haven of warmth and celebration. One of her favorite pastimes was enjoying the serenity of the beach, soaking in the sun’s warmth.

Perhaps her most significant life event was marrying the love of her life, Keith Langford, on December 7, 1974. They met at Middle Georgia State University, where Diane was a much-loved secretary and Keith, a respected professor. Their love story remains a testament to their incredible bond.

Diane is survived by her daughter Kimberly Guest (Chris) of Bonaire, Georgia; son, Chris Langford of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Sandra Dover (Charles) of Macon, Georgia; brother, Terry Walker of Byron, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved guinea pigs, Itzy and Snickers.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Rollin Keith Langford.
