Donna Elise Joyce

Donna Joyce, 60, of Macon, Georgia, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, December 18, 2022.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 7:00 PM, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home with the Reverends Steve Johnson, Jackson Kappenmann, and Nancy Avera Sartin officiating.  Family will greet friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sonrise Ministries, 3378 Gray Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032, in honor of Mrs. Donna Joyce. 

Donna was a 1980 graduate of Southwest High School.  She was a member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church where she worked in the nursery and she loved singing in the choir. She also worked at Rogers Accounting Services. She loved to yard sale and visit thrift stores and thoroughly enjoyed crocheting.   

Donna is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Dennis J. Joyce; their children, Elise M. Joyce, James R. Joyce, and Shaun T. Joyce; her beloved pets “Bella” and “Bandit”; her brother, Kenneth C. Kappenman (Mary Ann) of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; her nephew, Jackson Kappenmann; and her cousin, Lisa G. She is preceded in death by her father, George Kappenmann and mother, June Avera; and her grandparents, L.E. and Ruby Avera.
