Dwight Dale Carmichael

Dwight Dale Carmichael, 65, of  Macon, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.  A graveside service will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia, with Reverend Mike Gordon officiating.  The family will greet friends for a time of visitation that same day, at 1:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.  

Mr. Carmichael loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.  He loved riding motorcycles, fishing, and being outdoors.  Mr. Carmichael was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Jones County.

He is survived by his two sons, James Carmichael (Charlene Markel) of Kentucky and Josh Carmichael of Virginia; his two granddaughters, Tamaya and Caydence Markel; his mother, Lona Evatt Carmichael of Jackson, Georgia; his brothers, Danny Carmichael (Vickie), Donnie Carmichael (Teresa), David Carmichael (Beth), Joe Carmichael (Sherra), and Jeff Carmichael (Connie); his sister, Janice Savage (Kevin); nieces and nephews; and family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Frances Carmichael, Sr.
