Elaine Ward LaFavor

Elaine Ward LaFavor, 75, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia, with Reverend Len Woodard officiating.  Family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. 

Elaine was born in 1948, to the Late James Robert and Della Lee Goodroe Ward.  She graduated from McEvoy High School.  After graduation, she went to work at Robins Air Force Base, and then at The General Motors Finance Company.  She later began her career at the Bibb County Probate Court, working as the Chief Deputy Clerk.  She married Carey LaFavor on May 16, 1980.  She loved traveling, especially to Panama City Beach.  She also loved NASCAR.  She loved her family dearly and will be missed greatly. 

She is survived by her husband, Carey LaFavor; her sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Gay (Donnie) of East Dublin, Georgia; her nephew, Jason Robert Ward (Tina) of Forsyth, Georgia; her two great nephews; and numerous cousins.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Steve A. Ward.
