James "JD" Davidson

James “J.D.” Davidson, 73, of Byron passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020. A visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Sardis Heard Funerals and Cremation Center. 

James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran.  He retired from Robins Air Force Base after forty-two years, where he served as an Avionics Supervisor. James loved to fish, play softball, take trips to the beach, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

James is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Marjorie Davidson of Byron, Georgia; one son, Scott Edge (Amy) of Byron; one daughter, Lori Adams (Andy) of Byron; three grandchildren, Jessica Edge of Byron, and Griffin and Garrett Arnold of Byron; brother, Roger Davidson of Macon; and sister, Laurie Batchelor of Hillsboro, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carolyn Davidson; daughter, Heather Davidson; sister, Lynn Darley, and one brother, Steve Davidson.
