Jewell McElheney

Jewell McElheney, 86, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 3:00 PM, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia 31216, with Pastor Reason Holt officiating.

Jewell was born in 1937, in Lagrange, Georgia, to the Late Hulett and Virginia Kent Hogans.  She moved to Macon, Georgia in 1976.  She loved to cook, decorate, and sit on her porch.  She loved her family with all her heart, and she will be greatly missed.

Jewell is survived by her children, Susie Ramage of Macon, Georgia; and Wendy Rustin (Richard) of Forsyth, Georgia; and Lamar Thompson (Jeannie) of Thomson, Georgia; her eight grandchildren, John Thompson, Amy Thompson, Jarrett Thompson, Michelle Zellner, Donnie Ramage, Megan Moore, and Landry Rustin; and her sixteen great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband of thirty-nine years, Douglas Thompson; her second husband of twenty-seven years, Charles McElheney; her son, Richard Douglas Thompson; her grandson, Ryan Rustin; and her son-in-law, Donald Ramage.
