Jimmie Evelyn Harper

Jimmie Evelyn Harper, 78, of Macon, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Reverend Mark Grinsted officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor’s favorite charity.

Daughter of the late James Wilkinson and Lola Bell Dawson Atkinson, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Edwin Harper. She helped raised many children for over 30 years where she had a daycare in her home.  She was active with Woodmen of the World.

Mrs. Harper is survived by daughter Denise (Joel) Carter of Eastanollee, Georgia; son, Jimmy (Kim) Harper of Macon; grandchildren, Shawn (Ashley) Carter, Lindsay Brawner, Hunter Harper, Harley Harper, Jessica Pardue, and Katlyn Todd; two great grandsons, Traven and Carter Brawner; brother, Jimmy (Hazel) Atkinson, and William Atkinson; sister, Lola Popovich ; and several nieces and nephews.
