Son of the late Emmett Lewis and Mary Elizabeth Dowdy Wootton, Mr. Wootton was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a faithful member of Fellowship Community Church of Lizella. Lewis was an undeniably hard worker and loved to fellowship, read his bible, and pray for others. He enjoyed fishing with minnows and gave generously the gifts of his garden and fruits of his labor, expecting nothing in return. He wanted nothing more for his friends and family than for them to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior too.
Mr. Wootton is survived by his daughters, Sherry Renfroe (Keith) of Gray, Georgia, and Kim Grizzle (Russell) of Tallapoosa, Georgia; grandchildren, Blake Wootton, Nicholas Wootton, and Cheyenne Wootton; great-grandchild, Kinley Clausell; brothers, Warren Wootton (Ellen) of Manteca, California, and Earl Wootton (Mary) of Lynchburg, Virginia; and sisters, Lucy Campbell, Ann Wilkins, and Alice Richardson (Jim) of Richmond, Virginia along with his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Sardis-Heard Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6125 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216 has charge of the arrangements.
