Linda Faye Jones Hood

Linda Faye Jones Hood, 66, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away unexpectedly September 1, 2021.  Services will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Sardis Heard Funeral Home.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to service.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Due to unforseen circumstances, the family has incurred expenses and requests contributions to be made to the funeral home. 

Faye enjoyed life and loved her family dearly.  She loved to travel and was always ready for her next trip. She even carried her passport in her purse "just in case".  She loved cruises and visiting casinos in Biloxi, Mississippi.  She also enjoyed spending time at the Powersville Opry listening to good music.  She will be missed dearly by her family.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie and Dawn Hood of Byron; siblings, James “Gus” Jones of Gray, Ann Thompson of Forsyth, Edward “Sonny” Stephens (Dianne) of Leesburg, Randall Jones of Gray, Brenda Adams (Roger) of Powder Springs; six grandchildren, Brandon Hood, Brittany Hood, Kimberly Hood, Taalor Wiggins, Sidney Garcia and Lilly Fincher;  and six great grandchildren, Michael, Keaton, Avery, Holland, Samson, and Woods. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie G. Hood Sr., parents, James Jones and Dora Knight, and a great grandchild, Walker.
