Myra Mae Percival

Myra Mae Percival, 98, of Byron, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be held immediately after the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, Georgia. 

Myra grew up in Taylor County before moving to Macon and finally settling in Byron, Georgia. She dearly loved her children and all her grands. She loved telling her life stories and she had many to tell. Myra also loved traveling around and shopping with her friends. She was always crafting and keeping busy. Everyone who knew her was deeply blessed. She will be greatly missed. 

Myra is survived by her children, Janane Pilcher (Kerry), Eddie Percival (Kathy), and Cheryl Jackson (Keith); her 5 grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jimmie Hortman (Carol); numerous nieces and nephews and her close neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ella Hortman; her husband William “Bill” Percival Sr.; her daughter, Myra Ann Howard; her brothers, Wilburn Hortman, Foy Hortman, and Earl Hortman; and her sister, Lois Winters.
