March 20, 1942 ~ November 9, 2023 (age 81) 81 Years Old
Ralph Dennis Cameron Sr., 81, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. Family will greet friends for a time of visitation at 1:00pm one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia. Mr. Cameron will be honored by the United States Marine Corps at this time for his service to our Country.
Ralph was born on March 20, 1942, in Louisianna, to the Late Ralph Cameron Sr. And Jannie Cameron. He joined the United States Marines in 1959, right after he graduated high school. After his military service, he married Norma Cross in Macon, Georgia. He worked twenty-five years for Georgia Power as a lineman, before retiring.
He enjoyed spending time watching old western movies and would watch them for hours on end. He also enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the beauty of nature, while drinking his favorite adult beverage.
Ralph was a generous man and gave to multiple charities. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
Ralph is survived by his wife of sixty years, Norma Cameron; daughter, Katrina Cameron; his son, Randall Cameron (Carolyn); his brother, Luke Cameron (Molly) of Macon, Georgia; his sister, Sue Dixon; his grandchildren, Matthew Williams, Chris Williams (Shanna), Paula Williams (Brandon), Randall Cameron Jr., Ralph Cameron III (Whitney), Ryan Cameron, Kaitlyn Cameron, and Hailey Harris; and his thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara Cameron; and his son, Mark Cameron.
